Basking in Victory!
Submitted by The Statistician on Sat, 11/06/2010 - 20:43By now you know the outcome of Tuesday's electoral tsunami. While Governor Lynch was re-elected to an unprecedented fourth term, it was by his narrowest margin ever. John Stephen's credible run against arguably the most popular politician in New Hampshire history helped the wave of Republican wins go deep.
Stop Progressive Decay!
Submitted by The Statistician on Sun, 10/31/2010 - 22:55| Decay comes in many forms. If you were talking to your dentist, she might say that you need to brush and floss daily, and avoid sweets. If you didn't listen to your dentist, your teeth might decay, causing you pain, trouble, and financial loss at the dentist's office. | ![]() |

The Smell of Desperation: Dems counterfeiting opponents' signs
Submitted by The Statistician on Sat, 10/30/2010 - 15:38UPDATED 10:12PM 10/30/2010: Today the Democratic Party of New Hampshire put counterfeit signs all over Senate District 23 in the Seacoast. It is alleged they've done this in other Senate districts where they have defenceless incumbents who will be swept away in the next 72 hours.
Here's what these false signs all over the district look like:

And here's what the real sign looks like (you can see a counterfeit behind it):

Veneration of Politicians
Submitted by The Statistician on Thu, 09/16/2010 - 23:22Democrats frequently make fun of Republicans for "Reagan nostalgia" from the popular two term presidency of Ronald Reagan (1981-1989). I find it hypocritical to look at today's DNC site prominently displaying FDR in the first flash frame of the front page.
At least we're 50 years ahead of them. They are stuck in 1932 in the middle of the Great Depression. Come to think of it, they've brought us back pretty close to that these days...

You Can't Make This Stuff Up!
Submitted by The Statistician on Wed, 09/08/2010 - 21:33While at the Labor Day festivities in Milford, I snapped TWO pictures that screamed "metaphor"! These photos definitely provide their 1,000 words of worth, as the proverb says. The first one is of a Lynch sign in the foreground with a fence in the background. I've blown up the section of the fence with a particular warning on it. Lynch is TOXIC!

New Hampshire House Primary 2010
Submitted by The Statistician on Thu, 07/29/2010 - 15:49The New Hampshire House of Representatives has 400 members. That means that most New Hampshire residents practically have a neighborhood representative in the lower chamber of the state legislature. It also means it is hard to know enough about NH House candidates to make an informed choice.

NH House Renovations: Room for Improvement!
Submitted by The Statistician on Sat, 04/24/2010 - 18:55It can be tough to know where to start when it's time for spring cleaning. But your home is not the only thing that needs to be cleaned out this year. It is an election year, and the New Hampshire House desperately needs cleaning out! When it's time for some new stuff, you first have to clear room by getting rid of some of your old stuff. Well, the legislature is no different. Out with the old, in with the new, but where to begin?
